Artichoke leaves.

So holy crap it's so hot around here and my dad finally put in the air conditioner but now we need the right kind of extension cord or something so it's off to the hardware store down the street that gives me lots of treats!
Oh and my mom got a new job at a clinic in Minneapolis that does a lot of specialized procedures with cameras in the belly and stuff and my mom is super excited and she should be because they just interviewed her yesterday and they offered the job today. And she said some of the techs that work there have been there for like 15 years which is a really good sign but we want to move to Washington or Oregon in the next few years so she won't work there for 15 years.
And the coolest thing happened yesterday. So like 5 days ago I was at my grandma's house on a Sunday because that's what we do every Sunday and some artichoke leaves fell on the ground and I ate them and my mom didn't know. And for the last few days I haven't been feeling very good and my mom thought it was just the heat and then yesterday I barfed up three whole artichoke leaves and now I feel better!
And my mom hasn't been taking a lot of pictures lately because she said the camera can't handle so much handsomeness so I'm bringing out an oldie that shows how I feel right now.

Dude! Artichoke leaves? Interesting. Glad you're feeling better. Did you take pictures of the barf?

Good to hear your ma got a new job that she likes--pawesome! And I want to move back to Washington (or to Oregon), too!

ps. In a strange coincidence my ma ape lived (briefly) in the Twin Cities before moving to Seattle. Small world, eh?

Yuck! Ikes, don't eat those leaves anymore!

And my Mom & Dad want to move to Oregon or Washtington too! My Dad's company is based in Oregon and he has to go out there once a year for training sessions. Mom said that if she can get the time off work, I get to go with them this time!!

A Classic Handsome Shot!!

Aritchoke leaves, ummm ok thanks for the notice, that will be one thing I will not try. But if it falls on the floor in front of me... I can not say if I can resist.

Ike--My ma ape liked the Twin Cities but she has friends there that she went to college with. Bad weather though, she says!

Congrats, Ike's Mommy! :)

You guys are going to move to Oregon? Or Washington? COOL! You'll be close to ME! You know we're moving to Eugene as soon as our house sells, right? Do you have a few cities in mind? Mom says Portland is pretty much pawsome, and we'd be moving there except that my grandpa lives in Eugene, so we're going to start there. I think it rains a lot less in Eugene than Portland, too (and much less than Seattle!)

Puggy kisses
Oh, and you are a cool Boston, too! But Ruby did send me a bunch of stuff, so she's the coolest..LOL!

Congratulations on your mom's new job!
I've never had an artichoke or any of the leaves for that matter. I guess it'll be on our no-no list! I'm glad you're feeling better Ike!

Congrats on the new job for your mom. Oh and my mom says people need to stop moving to oregon because by the time dad gets out of the army there will be no room for her to go back home. haha just kidding.
Hey I once threw up a corn cob 3 days after I ate it.

Cool that your mom got that cool job, and even cooler that you got a/c!

p.s. I don't like artichokes, but have no idea what the leaves taste like. I'll take your word for it and not eat any. In fact, I'm gonna barf right now, in solidarity.

Gosh that took you a while to part with those leaves yuck. You wont do that again. I myself am partial to the green olives that fall into our yard from our next door neighbor. Congrats to your mom on her new job that sounds fascinating.

Hmmm... they're called artiCHOKES. Just because you're a Boston doesn't mean you're above the laws of nature (no matter what my sister Fig says)...!
