Update.

So sorry I haven't been so good about updating lately and there really hasn't been a lot going on around here except my mom is going to have a few days off in a couple days because she is starting a new job which is cool because her current job really stresses her out sometimes and she hates the hours and I do too because when she is working she isn't home but she is also kind of sad about leaving because she likes the people and they sometimes have a really good time and work but she is excited about the new job too.
And this weekend we are going to a wedding in Wisconsin because my mom's cousin who she hasn't seen in like 20 years is getting married and we are all going so I don't have to stay with Tory the trainer except I have to stay in the hotel room instead of going to the wedding because dogs aren't invited to Catholic weddings and my mom hopes they don't do full mass and communion which they probably will. But the cool thing is we will be right by a really big lake so I can walk around it on Sunday after the wedding and hopefully we'll stop for some ice cream which brings me to my next subject because my mom made me some Frosty Paws which she calls Steiner paws (how original) because my nickname is Ikenstein but mostly Steiner.
So here is a picture of my Steiner paw which has nonfat yogurt and some peanut butter and whole banana slices in it which is my favorite and my mom puts them in a silicone muffin pan - which she bought just for me - because they pop out really easily.

And this is my shout out to all the dog moms and naked apes who posted their recipes for homemade FPs - YOU ARE THE BEST!
And this is a picture of me eating my Steiner paw and I wouldn't look at the camera because I was so hungry.

High five.

So nobody tagged me for the 7 things tag and I am very offended and Suki posted hers and said that it's an open tag so I will use that as my tag.
So here are 7 fun facts about me!
1. My favorite color is brown because that is what color I am and so is cat poop.
2. My first name was Chance (ugh!) and then they called me Pepper Jack at rescue.
3. Sometimes I snore so loud I wake my mom up and she has to push me into a new position.
4. I had a tongue transplant from a Newfoundland.
5. I have 14 sweaters/jackets and one pair of crotchless jeans.
6. I'm more of a cat person.
7. My favorite song is "I wanna be your dog" by Iggy Pop because when my mom was contemplating going to see me for the first time (because Meg had just died and she was feeling really guilty about getting another dog) that song came on the radio and sealed the deal.

And I also have some really big news - my dad taught me how to high five in like 10 tries the other night because I am so smart.

And here is a video of me high fiveing.

Prepare yourselves, ladies.

Ok, so with some gentle coaxing, Ruby tagged me with Which Famous Celebrity Do You Most Closely Resemble??? And here it is - the resemblance is uncanny and I will soon be gracing the cover of People magazine and I'm thinking of moving to Las Vegas to become an impersonator!

I was so excited to show you the pic that I forgot to tag someone else - I tag Bruin, Bentley and Niko and Wally!

Grilled turkey and naptime.

So yesterday we had a party outside at our condo so we could all get to know each other in the building and talk about the association ... boring, but Jack, the guy downstairs, cooked a whole turkey on the grill and it was awesome and I got to eat a bunch of gnarly bits that the people didn't want to eat and it was the best. And then afterward, we were all tired and I napped with my mom on the couch because she drank 3 margaritas and they made her really tired and kinda funny.
And I recovered from my paint episode without any white poop and no ill effects and the weather is super nice today so we are going for walkies.
Here are two pictures of me napping with my mom and I'm kissing her the whole time because I'm that nice.

Paint.

So yesterday, my mom was helping paint a ceiling at my grandma and grandpa's house and they left the paint can open on the floor so I tried it. Tastes really gross and I don't think dogs should eat paint anymore and my mom is really glad latex paint is non-toxic.

Amos Lee concert pics.

So Angela e-mailed the pics from the Amos Lee show on Saturday and I'm really excited because they show how cool I am. Thank you Angela and Linda for having enough brains to bring your cameras because my mom obviously is lacking in that department.
Here are the pics.

And this pic was the best part of the show because some d-bag spilled a whole bunch of his Cheez-Its and my mom forgot to feed me dinner before the show so I got to eat them.

Rocker dog.

Ok, so the thing in the bathtub was gone for the weekend and now it's back and I can't stop looking at it and wanting to be by it and think about eating it.
And we went to a concert on Saturday night and it was Amos Lee who my mom loves and it was free because a private college around here hires a cool band at the end of the semester and then they play outside for the school and only like 200 people show up and my mom's friend Angela has a friend who goes to that school and so we went with them even though we don't go to that school. And if we had gotten there earlier, Amos Lee was just hanging out with people and I probably could have gotten my picture taken with him and my mom is bummed that we didn't get there earlier. (Ike's mom here - good music wasted on a bunch of rich kids who sat around talking the whole time - GRRR!) And she didn't bring her camera (bad mommy!) but Angela and her friend did and we're just waiting for Angela to e-mail the pics so I can post them.
And another thing - I was tagged for a belly shot by Balboa so I am pulling out an old pic from the crappy old camera and it's kind of porno so I'm sorry but all my belly shots are kind of porno.

So I tag Bentley and Niko (a twofer) and my sweet, precious, lovable, adorable, beautiful Martha.
And also, I made a card for my mom for Mother's Day and I got her a smoothie and a muffin but they gave me the wrong flavor and it was banana and it was dry so I got to eat it but I didn't really like it which means it was really gross.
And here's a picture of the card I made and I even put the cats on the card but not the thing in the bathtub.
Edit: I just found out about Fufu. I am very sad. We'll miss you Fufu!

The thing that lives in the bathtub.

Ok, so the good news first - my tumor is benign.
And now the weird, I'm not sure if it's bad or good or just really interesting because there is a three and a half week old kitten living in my bathtub and I really want to get near her and my mom and dad say no. You see, my mom is bottle feeding this kitten because a drunk lady stole her from her momma kitty and the drunk lady's daughter brought her into the clinic because she didn't know what to do with her so my mom volunteered to raise her and find her a home which she has and can go to as soon as she can eat solid food. And my mom has been spending a lot of time with her and ignoring me and yelling at me when I start shaking and my eyes dilate when I see the kitten because I'm not sure if I want to play with her or eat her. So I'm not allowed near her at all and I want my mom back. Stupid kitten.

And here is a picture of the kitten and her name is Izzy.

And I played with the big dogs again today and I ran at Pearl and she broadsided me and I rolled and it was awesome.

What happened to my leg.

So I'm sure you're like "OMG Ike, what happened to your leg???" Well, I'll tell you what happened - my mom is a FREAK! So I've had this tiny lump in my skin for a month or so and it grew a tiny bit and my mom brought me to work yesterday and showed the doctor and then the doctor said we could just take it off that day. Nice.
So now it's another super perfect spring day and I have two stitches in my leg and I can't lick them or chew on them or strain them in any way and now we have to wait to see what the lab says and if it's something bad, they have to cut a bigger hole just to be sure which they didn't do yesterday because of not wanting to have to keep me under for a long time because I get really goofy afterward. Whatever.

And this is a picture of my stupid stitches.

PS - I am posting this a few hours later: my mom bought me Frosty Paws and I feel a lot better.
