Barred from my own neighborhood!

Ok, so we went down to where the GOP convention was, except we couldn't really get down there because they have the whole area fenced off for like 5 blocks and you can't go in unless you are military, a cop or a republican fascist! And then when my mom and I were trying to walk back to the car, they closed the street where the car was parked and my mom was way pissed off because isn't that taking away our civil liberties to not allow us to be in so many parts of our own neighborhood?
But something cool did happen today. My mom and dad were driving by where the fences are and my dad saw this guy who he recognized and he totally loves and he was all "Hey is that Eugene Robinson?" And Eugene Robinson was like "yeah." And my dad was all "Dude, you're awesome!" And the really funny thing is my dad was driving and sticking his head out the sunroof of the car when they were talking which is totally unsafe, but that's how much my dad loves this guy.
And this is a pic of Eugene Robinson!

And this is a pic of me looking at the National Guard guys in riot gear going "dudes, seriously - we're just a bunch of peace-loving hippies!"

And they went on forever until the big fence, and on the other side of the road was a bunch of cops in riot gear too.

And this is a pic of me Barking for Barack in my Obama bandana that my mom made for me with a sticker and some staples. Nice, Mom.

And then we went on a walk for an hour which was awesome and we ran into this ranting guy in an Obama t-shirt and he was talking about how he hates racists (so do I!) and then he saw my Obama bandana and thought it was pretty cool.

Top Stocks? You're a smelly Spam-wanker.

Love your new bandana, Ike! Those freaking soldiers are kinda...intimidating. And why is the convention closed to some and not to others? Are they always like that?

I'll bet if you tossed a kong full of mashed bananas into the line of soldiers, they'd break ranks and fight for it. ;-) Or does saying that mean I am unpatriotic and unsupportive of the troops? 'Cause dontcha know they are one and the same thing. Ha! At least I'm not a fascist. I let Bush be that, I'm too busy to try to rule the world and start wars based on LIES.

OMDOG, Ike, you have me all riled up now.

Ike--

You look totally hot in your Obamabananadana! And I think that you should definitely stick with the name Hurricane Ike.

And I hope you understand that because someone, somewhere, broke some windows we all have to give up all of our civil liberties because, you know, it's not like we were really using those things anyway.

Give 'em hell, Ike!

Way to go, IkeMan!

Your dad must be VERY talented to be able to reach the gas pedal AND stick his head out the sunroof at the same time. I bow to his height and gooberlicious driving stunt!

I'll have to look up Eugene. Didn't recongnize him.

I bet you are doing a LOT for OBAMA MAMA just by showing your support. Most hoomans choose their presidents for strange reasons, why not choose one based on the cool dogs who support him?

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley

"Hurricane Ike was upgraded to an 'extremely dangerous' Category 4 storm by the National Hurricane Center late Wednesday as the system roared west across the central Atlantic."

THANKS A LOT! GET OUT OF THE OCEAN, IKEY!!!!!

Momma says that Bill Clinton came to speak at our local high school when she was still president. She used to walk Grandpa Angus there every day and that day there were scary guys with ear plugs all like watchin her and stuff. Those national guard guys scare me. You should have a special resident permit or something to walk on your own streets.
